What is the value of c?

​ −1.6(2c+12)=12 ​

please show me how you did it so i can understand it as well.

the answer is 9.75 the steps are....
first simplify both sides so...
−1.6(2c+12)=12(−1.6)(2c)+(−1.6)(12)=12(Distribute)−3.2c+−19.2=12−3.2c−19.2=12
then add 19.2 to both sides because your trying to get the c by itself..
−3.2c−19.2+19.2=12+19.2−3.2c=31.2
and then finally divides both sides by -3.2 so that c will be by itself 
AND THEN..you get 9.75
