if g(x)=2x and h(x)=x^2+4 then:

(g○h)(x)=g(h(x))

(g○h)(x)=2(x^2+4)

(g○h)(x)=2x^2+8

(g○h)(3)=2(3^2)+8

(g○h)(3)=2(9)+8

(g○h)(3)=18+8

(g○h)(3)=26
