G=-1/3x+2/3

    x = 3g + 2

subtract 2 from both sides
    x - 2 = 3g + 2 - 2

⇒  x - 2 = 3g

then divide both sides by 3

⇒  g  =  [tex] \frac{x - 2}{3} [/tex]
